2022 New Year Resolutions

            2022 New Year’s Resolution
~I know its early but I would like to post it now.

The year 2021 was definitely a wild ride for me. Phew! The year was quite interesting. The first four months were kind of slow. But the next four months, I got notice that my Aunt Sally and several of my cousins had passed. Sadly, no one in the family had told me, they assumed. I also got notice that my father was put into a nursing home and he had been diagnosed with the mid to late stages of vascular dementia.

On August 10th, 2021, I contracted the Covid from a family member of ours.Neither of us knew that we had it until we started showing horrible signs of that plague. I almost died. I just thank
the stars above that I lived. Thank God and the Creators for that infusion that the Doctors had given me at the Coliseum.
Late September, early October, my hair started to fall out along with weight loss and other scary symptoms. I was deathly horrified. In November, I had to see the ER doctor because I was bleeding on the scalp from where the clumps of hair were falling out. Also I was having fainting
spells and other body issues which wasn’t normal. The doctors in the ER had diagnosed me with Meniere’s disease.

They advised me to seek further help from my PCP and my Rheumatologist
as soon as possible. In the following week I was able to see both my Primary Care Doctor and the Rheumatologist.
Mainly needed to see the Rheumatologist first. What they found in the blood tests that I had previously done while in the ER. Records had shown them that there was trouble with my Thyroid. The Rheumatologist said that I went from hypothyroidism to hyperthyroid issues.
Which is very rare for some folks. The Rheumatologist also said that they were going to run more tests and what they had found out was that my Lupus was out of Remission and had moved to my thyroid and liver. My Doctors have given me an example, my Lupus was like a ping pong
ball and my Thyroid and Liver were the paddles. Meaning that my Lupus is being tossed back and forth by both of them.

With that being said, they put me on an Autoimmune suppressant also known as Plaquinil, a very low dose of it.
Since I’ve been taking the pill twice a day, my hair has been growing back thank the gods and my energy has been increasing. But of course I have my bad days, where the medicine causes me to have moderate side effects. I can’t always say it’s moderate. I also have days where the side
effects are minor. Also my Rheumatologist and PCP agree that sometime in the New Year I will have to get a thyroidectomy, which is a surgery that removes the Thyroid. Sometime in mid to late Spring
2022 I will also have to have surgery for my liver.

On a positive side, I want to get to my new year's resolutions and I hope to achieve them by the
end of 2022. I lost a good amount of weight this year. So going from 351.7 to 295.3 is very good.
My goals for 2022:

● By the end of the year I would like to see myself down to 195 pounds.
● Heal from my Lupus
● Do more Art and writings
● Have A Wiccaning at The First Unitarian Universalist Church of San Antonio

I hope everyone has a good and prosperous New Years and I will see you all on the flipside. Take care and know that I’m sending you lots of love. See you next time and goodbye.✨πŸ’œ✨
